Making the switch from the Precision Racing LA Toyota GR Cup North America to the Pirelli GT4 America program, competitor Alexandra Hainer will co-pilot a Toyota Supra for the remainder of the 2024 season. Beginning next weekend at the VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) in Alton Virginia, Hainer, and Eversley will work together in the four remaining event weekends of the season with goals set high as they aim to close the 2024 calendar strong.
“Since the first test with Alex, I was impressed with her confidence behind the wheel and ability to adapt to a different platform from what she is used to,” explained Ryan Eversley. “The GR cup class wasn’t really fitting her style, so we looked at the GT4 class as an option.”
“I am really looking forward to these next few races with the Precision Racing LA team and Ryan,” added Alexandra Hainer. “I am so lucky to be able to learn from him and call him my teammate.”
Hainer grew up at the racetrack watching her IMSA champion dad compete and was inspired to follow in his footsteps. Alexandra has been a routine competitor in the Porsche Owners Club series over the past nine years. Completing a test to see the characteristics and differences between her GR Cup machine and the Toyota Supra, Hainer was instantly hooked and jumped at the opportunity to join Eversley for the rest of the season. Focused on not only race results but driver development as well, this is a win-win scenario for all involved.
“After having a great test in the Supra to see if this was something they could do together, we were pleased with the results. They will be strong teammates for the rest of the season and fighting for the podium soon,” said Mario Biundo, owner of Precision Racing LA.
With four events remaining on the 2024 calendar, the new driving duo will compete at VIR next weekend before moving to Road America in August. They will then move to Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama in September, and then the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway to close the season in October.
Ryan Eversley and Alexandra Hainer will hit the track next Friday for a pair of practice sessions as they officially kick off their 2024 campaign together. Saturday will feature qualifying and race one of the weekend, while Sunday will be the home of race two.
